Are you know about "PROCEDURE TEXT !!!


Procedure text is designed to describe how something is achieved through a sequence of action or steps. It explains how people perform different processes in a sequence of steps. This text use :
“SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE”. Often imperative sentences.
It also usually uses the temporal conjuction  such as first, second, then, next, finally, etc.

The structure of  this text consists of three parts :
~ Goal / title
~ Materials (not required for all procedural text)
~ Steps

        


However, there is procedural text that only consists of goal and followed by some steps.

The purpose of recount text is to tell how make or operate something step by step.

Types Of  Procedure Text :

Social function              : To describe how to do or to make something through a sequence of actions or steps.
Shematic structure       : Goal, material/equipments, and steps.
Language features       : Focus on generalized human agent, use of simple present tense, use of mainly temporal conjucive relations, and use of mainly material (action-clauses).


Example :

How to charge handphone battery

Prepare your :
Handphone
Battery charger

Steps :
1. Connect the charger to your handphone, the flash symbol on the charger plug must face upward.
2. Waiting  until the battery icon appears on the screen.
3. Charge the battery approximately
4. Hours or until the battery icon indicates that the battery is fully charged.
5. Remove the charger by pulling out from your handphone.
