What is a present tense !!!
Present tense is a simple form which used to express situation going into effect.
Present tense have 4 types :
Simple present tense, present continous tense, present perfect tense, and present perfect continous tense.
Simple present tense is used for :
~ Express habit, general truths, repeated actions or unchanging situation, emotions and whised.
~ Give instruction or direction.
~ To express arrangement.
PATTERNS (Using verbs) :
+) S + VI + Complement/Object
-) S + Do/does + Not + VI + Complement/Object
?) Do/does + S + VI + Complement + ?
PATTERNS (Using be) :
+) S + to be (is, am, are) + complement
-) S + to be (is, am, are) + not + complement
?) To be (is, am , are) + S + complement.
Examples :
I. Kalimat Nominal ( S + to be (am, are, is ) + . . .
+) I am here every Sunday
-) We are not (aren’t ) farmers.
?) Are you hungy ?
II. Kalimat Vrbal ( Using Verbs )
+) I usually wake up at five in the morning.
-) Thy do not like coffee
?) Do you study English at school ?
Example :
a) I am in class today ( use to be (am) )
b) Alice is at the library today ( use to be (is) )
c) My friends are at home today ( use to be (are) )
