PERFECT TENSE




Explain About “Perfect Tense”

TYPES OF PERFECT TENSE :
1.    Present Perfect Tense is used for describing a past action’s effect an the present.
PATTERN I    : S + have/has + been + complement.
PATTERN II    : S + have/has + V3 + Object/Adverbs.


2.    Past Perfect Tense is kind of tense that is used to describe an actins or an event that started in a certain time in the past and completed or finished fill certain time in the past too :
Or perfect tense is used to express an action or an event that had happened before the other event or action happened.
PATTERN    : S + had + V3 + complement.
3.    Present Future Perfect Tense is used to assert an action or an event that will happened or will finished at the definite time at the future.
PATTERN I    : S (EXCEPT 1) + will/shall + have + been + complement.
PATTERN II    : S + will/shall + have + V3 + Object/Adverb.

4.    Past Future Perfect Tense is used to assert an action or an event that will happened at the past future.
PATTERN I    : S + would/should + have + been + complement.
PATTERN II    : S + would/should + have + V3 + Object/Adverb.

Examples :

1)    PRESENT PERFECT TENSE        :
+) I have been in Australia before.
-) We haven’t seen you for a long time.
?) Has he drunk his beer ?

2)    PAST PERFECT TENSE            :
+) They had been at home before noon.
-) I hadn’t walked for an hour when I met you.
?) Will you have been a doctor by next year ?

3)    PRESENT FUTURE PERFECT TENSE    :
+) We shall have arrived at Jakarta by Monday.
 -) They won’t have been at home by the end this Month.
?) Will you have been a doctor by next year  ?

4)    PAST FUTURE PERFECT TENSE        :
+) I should be going to Tokyo at this time the following day.
-) They would not be talking to each other at nine yesterday.
?) Would you be reading in the library between two and four that afternoon ?

 



Time Is Used :
•    Before
•    After
•    Until
•    As soon as
•    By Sunday
•    By the end of this week.
•    By next month.

Example :
The man had been playing with his son when his wifewent out.
